Underwater Eco Museum of Cannes – Home to 6 underwater statues off Sainte-Marguerite Island, you can swim to visit this incredible underwater treasure. The statues are a project to help act as artificial reefs to promote biodiversity.
Musée du Masque de Fer et du Fort Royal – Found in the Fort Royal on Sainte-Marguerite Island, this archaeology museum explores history of land and sea. The Royal Fort itself has been classified as a historical monument and was the centre of many legends,most famously the Main in the Iron Mask.
La Malmaison – Housed in what was once the Grand Hotel, this museum hosts temporary expositions of art from 20th and 21st century artists like Picasso and Chagall.
Villa Domergue – A manor house located in the hills above Cannes which was that of French painter Jean-Gabriel Domergue. The villa showcases his and his wife’s artwork, as well as containing beautiful architecture inspired by Venetian palaces and a terraced garden designed by Odette (which offers great views of the Bay of Cannes).
Musée des explorations du monde – Another spot that offers views over the Bay of Cannes, this museum is housed in a medieval castle (that also once served as a monastery) and houses artifacts ranging from 19th century Riviera paintings to Mediterranean antiques and musical instruments.
